Running

I run…a lot. Sometimes more than I violin (shhhh don’t tell my former teachers!).

I started running in 2016 as a way to reduce stress and get healthy in my last semester of grad school. Things went pretty smoothly at first and I ran my first half marathon after I’d only been running regularly about 6 months! But then in 2017 I started getting injury after injury and was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease–the leading cause of hypothyroidism. Yuck.

In 2018 I got injured again but then got smarter about my training and finally ran my first full marathon in September–it was my third attempt at training for a full and I finally got to the start line (and finish line I think) without getting injured! WOOT!
